Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of Network Contracting to lead a team focused on negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with large national and complex healthcare provider groups and systems. This role is based in Dallas, Texas, with a hybrid work model combining home office work and frequent local travel for client meetings.
You will report to the Director of Network Contracting & Services and oversee a small team of contracting associates and specialists. Key responsibilities include implementing contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy and cost management objectives, managing and negotiating provider contracts with favorable terms, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. You will conduct comprehensive reviews of provider contracts to identify optimization opportunities, utilize data and analytics to inform negotiation decisions, and monitor key metrics for network performance, cost, and provider satisfaction.
The role requires strong leadership capabilities, including setting strategic objectives, monitoring team performance, providing training and development, and fostering a collaborative work environment. You will be a key player in implementing contracting policies and workflows, ensuring timely resolution of provider issues related to contract terms and reimbursement, and building positive relationships with healthcare providers to maintain network stability and quality.
Required qualifications include 4+ years in healthcare network contracting (including contracts with health systems, hospitals, or national providers), 2+ years managing complex provider network strategies and negotiating complex contracts, 2+ years of people management experience, and 2+ years in health insurance (Individual and/or Medicare Advantage) or healthcare industry. A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
