Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of Network Contracting to lead a team focused on negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with large national and complex healthcare providers. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the provider network while meeting accessibility, quality, and financial goals.
You will manage a small team of contracting associates and specialists, providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction. Key responsibilities include implementing contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy and cost management objectives; negotiating contracts with healthcare providers to secure favorable terms and ensure regulatory compliance; conducting comprehensive reviews and analyses of provider contracts to identify optimization opportunities; and utilizing data and analytics to inform negotiation decisions.
You will monitor key performance metrics for network performance, cost, and provider satisfaction, providing regular reports to leadership. The role involves resolving provider disputes and settlement negotiations, ensuring timely resolution of contract-related issues, and building positive relationships with healthcare providers to maintain network stability and quality.
This position requires strong negotiation skills, working knowledge of provider financial issues, and the ability to collaborate effectively with providers, hospitals, and health systems. You will report to the Director of Network Contracting & Services and work in partnership with Market Leaders to achieve successful contracting outcomes while supporting cost-saving initiatives and network growth for assigned markets or regions.
The role is hybrid, based in Texas with a blend of home office work and frequent local travel for client meetings. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events.
