Salary: USD 100,602 - 132,040 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of National Provider Contracting to lead a team responsible for negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with large national and complex healthcare providers. This role manages an assigned portfolio of national ancillary providers and multi-state health systems across the full contracting lifecycle—from market assessment and recruitment through negotiation, implementation, performance management, renewal, and escalation.
You will translate network access and affordability goals into executable contract strategies, leveraging financial, claims, and provider data to inform negotiations. Key responsibilities include implementing contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy and cost management objectives; managing and negotiating contracts with healthcare providers; overseeing a small team of contracting associates and specialists; conducting comprehensive contract reviews and analyses; utilizing data analytics to support negotiation decisions; monitoring key performance metrics for network, cost, and provider satisfaction; ensuring timely resolution of provider issues; and building durable relationships with healthcare providers.
The role reports to the Senior Director, Specialty Contracting. This is a field-based remote position with a blend of home office work and frequent local travel for client meetings. Occasional travel required for team meetings and company events. Candidates must reside in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, or Texas.
Required qualifications: 4+ years in healthcare network contracting (health systems, hospitals, national providers, provider relations, or network management); 2+ years managing complex provider network strategies and negotiating complex contracts; 2+ years of people management experience; 2+ years in health insurance (Individual and/or Medicare Advantage) and/or healthcare industry. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
