Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building modular data center solutions powered by sustainable and renewable energy. This role leads the project management function for the entire modular product sector, including Spark Modular Data Center units and Power Distribution Center buildings.
As Manager of Modular Building Programs, you will own the consolidated portfolio schedule, delivery commitments to hyperscale customers, and the growth of a small team of project managers. This is a working leadership role where you personally carry the most complex programs, manage tough customer escalations, and serve as the connective tissue between the PMO, plant floor, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the consolidated schedule across Spark MDC and PDC building programs and coordinating with Production Planning and plant operations on capacity
- Leading, coaching, and developing project managers while setting standards for schedule quality, change discipline, cost accuracy, and customer communication
- Serving as the senior escalation point for modular customers, including executive-level discussions on schedule impact and change negotiations
- Partnering with Manufacturing Operations on line loading, takt-time alignment, labor forecasting, and bottleneck resolution
- Governing the engineering change process, enforcing impact analysis, pricing discipline, and customer approval before changes reach the floor
- Setting margin and cost targets for each program and owning delivery against them through close-out
- Driving standardization across configurations through repeatable schedule templates, WBS structures, and budget templates
- Partnering with Sales and Estimating during pursuit to validate schedule feasibility and manufacturability
- Owning the modular executive dashboard covering throughput, on-time delivery, backlog, and margin
- Performing schedule quality assurance including logic checks, float analysis, and critical path validation
Success is measured in throughput and predictability: more units delivered on committed dates at quoted margins.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 8+ years managing projects in electrical equipment, construction, engineering, and/or manufacturing industries, including ETO or highly engineered production
- 3+ years of direct leadership of project managers or equivalent technical staff, with a track record of developing them
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field
- Experience delivering multi-disciplinary products (electrical, HVAC, structural, enclosure/building envelope); modular building manufacturing or data center construction experience strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering design drawings and lead a team that does the same
- Demonstrated ownership of a multi-project manufacturing or construction portfolio with accountability for on-time delivery and margin performance
- Proven ability to lead adoption of dynamic change management practices across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement
- Proficiency in scheduling using waterfall methodologies and tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com, or Primavera P6
- Ability to forecast and build cost budgets across a portfolio and manage through completion
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with manufacturing ERP systems like SAP, Visual, or Acumatica preferred
- Safety and compliance: This is a safety-sensitive position; drug and alcohol program participation required
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct expertise managing change on first-of-a-kind (FOAK) manufacturing programs or highly complex projects
- Experience scaling a modular or prefabricated product line through rapid volume growth
- Background spanning both field construction and factory manufacturing
- Familiarity with industrialized building regulatory programs and third-party inspection regimes
- Experience implementing PMO standards, SOPs, or stage-gate governance in manufacturing
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
