goop is a lifestyle platform founded by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2008, spanning beauty, fashion, food, editorial content, podcasts, TV shows, live events, and retail stores. As Manager, Merchandise Planning, you will lead merchandise planning for GWYN (goop's fashion label) while supporting supply planning across goop Beauty and inventory analysis for the multi-brand business. You will report to the Senior Director, Planning and partner closely with Merchandising, Buying, Supply Chain, Product Development, Wholesale, Retail, Ecommerce, and Finance. Key responsibilities include: leading Open-to-Buy management for GWYN by building receipt plans aligned with sales forecasts, inventory targets, margin expectations, and cash flow objectives; owning preseason and in-season merchandise plans by collection, category, channel, and month with bottoms-up sales, demand, inventory, and receipt forecasts; developing size curve forecasts by style, color, and size in partnership with Merchandising; translating demand forecasts into purchase order recommendations and inventory requirements with Buying and Supply Chain; owning inventory allocation recommendations across Ecommerce and Retail channels; monitoring inventory productivity, weeks of supply (WOS), sell-through, and stock position to recommend replenishment, markdown, and mitigation actions; supporting supply planning for goop Beauty by maintaining demand forecasts, supply plans, and replenishment visibility; partnering across wholesale, ecommerce, retail, Amazon, merchandising, and finance to align forecasts and inventory investments; analyzing weekly business performance and recommending actions to improve sales, inventory productivity, and profitability; and developing executive reporting, planning analysis, and recommendations to support business reviews while maintaining and improving planning tools, forecasting models, and reporting processes. You are a sharp, commercially minded planner who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy, finding equal satisfaction in building precise bottoms-up forecasts and presenting inventory recommendations to senior leadership. You are naturally collaborative, comfortable navigating cross-functional teams, and confident enough to push back on a buy when the numbers don't support it.
