Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 / annual

Relativity Space is building next-generation reusable launch vehicles (Terran R) to serve commercial and government space needs. The Materials Management team is responsible for the physical and systematic movement of inventory across the manufacturing operation, including shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, material handling, and production control. In this Manager role, you will lead the materials management function and own end-to-end logistics operations. Key responsibilities include: • Own inbound and outbound logistics, including dock operations, freight coordination, and intercompany shipments • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and accurate material flow to the factory floor • Build and continuously improve work order fulfillment, picking, kitting, and line-side delivery processes • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve logistics efficiency • Establish and track logistics KPIs including dock-to-stock time, on-time delivery, transaction accuracy, and freight cost • Lead logistics-focused continuous improvement initiatives including material pull systems and value stream mapping • Become a subject matter expert on enterprise systems (ERP, MES) and interact with cross-functional stakeholders across Avionics, Propulsion, Machine Shop, Tube Shop, Additive, and Structures & Integration work centers You will be responsible for inventory accuracy and ensuring efficient, timely material movement in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment. Success requires strong problem-solving skills, comfort navigating ambiguity, and a process-oriented mindset. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • 3+ years of people leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment • Strong expertise in receiving, material movement, picking, and kitting operations • Hands-on experience using ERP systems for materials transactions • Strong internal customer orientation and cross-functional collaboration skills • Working knowledge of logistics fundamentals NICE TO HAVES: • APICS Certification (CPIM) • Experience with export regulations and intercompany logistics • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience • Experience managing high-volume operations in a fast-paced environment • Familiarity with project management tools and structured execution
