Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Material Planning Manager to lead material planning operations for its rapidly iterating hardware production. The Planning team is responsible for ensuring the strategic and efficient flow of materials to support production lines for cutting-edge defense systems, including static equipment, mobile ground equipment, and flight vehicles. In this role, you will manage all aspects of material planning—from forecasting and procurement to inventory control and supplier management. You'll coordinate closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics to ensure timely delivery and material availability. Key responsibilities include analyzing and forecasting material needs based on production schedules and demand projections, leading cross-functional efforts to resolve material shortages, implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, and monitoring inventory levels to prevent excess or obsolete stock. You'll provide regular reporting on material status, risks, and performance metrics to stakeholders, support new product introductions, and collaborate with the Supply Chain team to optimize planning processes. You'll need 8+ years of experience in supply chain or production roles within fast-paced manufacturing environments with complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies, plus 1+ years managing a direct team. A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field is required. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite) and CRM systems (Salesforce) is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, SQL database expertise, and proficiency with data analysis tools like Tableau or Power BI. You must be willing to travel up to 25% and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
