Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation cell therapies to improve outcomes for patients with blood cancer. The company operates a state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Sacramento, CA dedicated to producing high-precision cell therapies.
The Manager, Manufacturing Systems & Master Data serves as the business owner and super user for the company's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and related manufacturing and supply chain applications. This role is critical to ensuring system capabilities effectively support GMP manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, quality, planning, and commercial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Governing manufacturing master data including material masters, inventory masters, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, packaging configurations, vendor master records, release testing requirements, and manufacturing data
- Creating and maintaining accurate, compliant master data across all manufacturing and supply chain systems
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives for ERP/MES functionality to optimize business processes
- Serving as the primary business liaison to Information Technology, Finance, and software vendors
- Ensuring business systems evolve to meet operational and regulatory needs
- Driving system improvements and process optimization across manufacturing operations
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The successful candidate will combine deep understanding of manufacturing operations, regulatory requirements (GMP), and enterprise systems with strong cross-functional collaboration skills. The role requires someone who can translate business needs into system requirements and work effectively with technical teams to implement solutions.
