Verkor is a French industrial company pioneering low-carbon battery manufacturing to accelerate European mobility electrification. Backed by Renault, Plastic Omnium, and Schneider Electric, the company operates a newly inaugurated Gigafactory in Dunkerque (opened December 2025) and is scaling production in 2026.
As Manager of Maintenance UAP (Production Unit), you will lead maintenance operations for a critical production area within the Gigafactory, reporting to the UAP Director. You will manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, ensuring equipment availability, operational reliability, and safety compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
**Operational Maintenance Management**: Organize, plan, and supervise preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance activities. Guarantee equipment availability and reliability. Monitor key performance indicators (availability, MTBF, MTTR, backlog, costs). Ensure proper CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) data quality. Prioritize interventions based on safety, quality, and production needs.
**Team Leadership**: Manage, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians and engineers. Set team objectives and track achievement. Build technical and behavioral competencies. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement with a focus on proactive, reliability-driven maintenance.
**Continuous Improvement & Industrial Performance**: Define and implement actions to improve equipment reliability. Conduct root-cause analyses to eliminate recurring failures. Optimize maintenance strategies. Collaborate with Methods, Reliability, Process, and Production teams to enhance operational efficiency. Support equipment commissioning and ramp-up of new production lines.
**Safety & Compliance**: Ensure HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) rule application. Verify regulatory compliance of installations and interventions. Participate in risk analyses, audits, and safety improvement initiatives. Build an exemplary safety culture within your team.
**Vendor & Project Management**: Manage relationships with maintenance suppliers and service providers. Participate in new equipment reception, startup, and performance ramp-up. Contribute to capital investment and industrial transformation projects.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Bac+3 minimum) in industrial maintenance, electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, automation, or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience managing maintenance teams in demanding industrial environments. Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance methods and tools. Proficiency with maintenance KPIs and CMMS platforms. Understanding of automated, high-speed production environments. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, TPM, RCA). Recognized leadership, strong prioritization skills, and decision-making ability. Fluent French and English (written and spoken) for effective communication in an international, multicultural industrial setting.
