OpenGov is seeking a Manager I for Professional Services to lead and mentor a team of Implementation Analysts and Consultants responsible for deploying OpenGov's AI and ERP solutions to local and state government organizations. Reporting to a Director or Senior Manager, you will oversee the successful implementation of solutions across enterprise asset management, procurement, accounting, budgeting, billing, permitting, and transparency modules.
Key responsibilities include leading a team of implementation professionals, ensuring on-time and on-budget customer deployments, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. You will provide hands-on technical support in data preparation, workflow documentation, and product configuration. The role requires mentoring team members on technical problem-solving, reinforcing implementation methodology and standards, and ensuring delivery consistency across the portfolio.
You will manage team utilization and project metrics, troubleshoot technical issues related to data formatting and system logic, and provide strategic guidance on complex implementations. Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to align customer expectations and streamline delivery processes. You'll also identify and mitigate risks, gather customer feedback for process improvements, and support recruiting and onboarding efforts.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of project delivery experience in SaaS, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and prior people management experience. Strong technical acumen is essential, particularly with data transformation, Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas), and workflow optimization. Experience with GIS software is strongly preferred. You should demonstrate excellent communication skills, strategic problem-solving ability, and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. Government or regulated environment experience, familiarity with government budgeting, finance/budgeting solutions, procurement, or asset management is advantageous. The role requires approximately 25% travel.
