IonQ is seeking a Manager of Global Network Operations to oversee, scale, and maintain the company's global corporate network infrastructure. This is a hands-on management role that bridges strategic infrastructure design with day-to-day operational excellence. Key responsibilities include: **Infrastructure & Operations**: Oversee implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of IonQ's global LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, security, reliability, and performance across all locations. **Hardware & Vendor Management**: Configure, manage, and handle lifecycle operations for network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers from vendors such as Arista, Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto. Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and performance reviews. **Team Leadership & Escalations**: Lead and mentor junior network administrators, upskilling the team while participating in an on-call rotation for critical network issues. Guide resolution of escalated Tier 1/2 helpdesk issues and establish robust 24/7 on-call coverage schedules. **Documentation & Knowledge Management**: Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and procedural documentation. Standardize root-cause analysis and translate resolved issues into accessible knowledge-base articles for cross-functional teams. **Strategic Initiatives**: Lead critical scale initiatives including modernizing identity-driven security, securing proprietary quantum assets, and executing seamless M&A network integration roadmaps for newly acquired subsidiaries. The role requires 25-40% domestic or international travel. IonQ is a quantum computing platform company (NYSE: IONQ) headquartered in College Park, Maryland, with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company works with major cloud providers and enterprise customers including AWS and AstraZeneca.
