Rubrik is seeking a Manager, Global Deal Operations & Governance to lead the Deal Operations team, which sits at the center of the quote-to-cash process. This role owns complex, exception-based quoting work and brings together Sales, Finance, Renewals, and IT to ensure decisions are made with full visibility into system capabilities. Key responsibilities include leading and developing a global team of deal operations analysts across regions and time zones, with ownership of hiring, coaching, performance management, and workload distribution. You will own the health of day-to-day deal operations including exception quoting, case management, approval queues, and customer satisfaction/replacement handling, ensuring speed and accuracy targets are met, especially during quarter-end close. You will set clear ownership and service levels to prevent work from falling through cracks or escalating unnecessarily. The role involves leading cross-functional initiatives to improve operations—streamlining the quoting experience for Sales, partnering with IT/CPQ on system enhancements, and standardizing process documentation and enablement. You will represent the team in cross-functional and leadership forums, translating system-level complexity into clear, decision-ready recommendations. Collaboration across quote-to-cash functions (Deal Governance, Deal Structuring, Finance, Renewals, IT/CPQ, Sales) is essential to ensure new programs and deal types are designed with operational reality in mind. The role requires distinguishing between keep-the-lights-on work and root-cause fixes, driving down manual overhead through better processes and automation. You will serve as an escalation point and subject-matter expert for complex, exception-based quoting. Required qualifications: 7+ years in deal desk, deal operations, revenue operations, or quote-to-cash with strong CPQ (Salesforce/SFDC) and complex quoting expertise. People-management experience or clear readiness to step into it. Comfort operating in ambiguity, energized by problems without clean playbooks. Strong upward communication skills to translate technical complexity into crisp recommendations. Change-driver's instinct to distinguish firefighting from root-cause fixes. Systems-and-process orientation understanding how upstream decisions ripple through downstream systems. AI-forward mindset actively seeking ways to apply AI and automation to reduce manual overhead. Nice-to-have: SaaS, subscription, or consumption-based pricing model experience; exposure to deal governance, revenue recognition, or channel/MSP quoting; track record of building documentation and enablement; ability to simplify complex situations in high-pressure forums.
