Reporting to the Global Real Estate and Site Services leadership, you will oversee facilities operations for IonQ's Geneva headquarters, production facility, and satellite office in Lausanne. This is a hands-on management role combining strategic facilities oversight with practical maintenance expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead facilities operations across three Swiss locations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant working environments that support quantum technology development and business operations.
• Drive operational excellence through preventative maintenance programs, contractor management, budgeting, health and safety compliance, physical security, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage and develop the local facilities team while building strong relationships with employees, suppliers, and stakeholders across the organization.
• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities, manage vendors and projects, oversee access control and physical security systems, and ensure compliance with Swiss regulations and IonQ policies.
• Maintain a hands-on approach by performing minor repairs where appropriate, responding to operational issues, and supporting the wider facilities team to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Own physical security protocols, access control systems, emergency procedures, occupational health and safety (KOPAS) compliance, and regulatory adherence across all sites.
This role requires strong facilities management expertise, vendor management skills, budget oversight capability, and the willingness to engage in practical maintenance tasks. You will work in a fast-paced, international environment supporting the development of world-leading quantum technologies.
