Ashby is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead its internal events function and deliver high-quality experiences for a fully remote team. This is a hands-on management role combining strategic leadership with direct event execution. You'll be accountable for Ashby's internal events strategy across company offsites, team gatherings, regional meetups, and other in-person moments that foster connection for a distributed workforce. Key responsibilities include: leading the overall internal events strategy and planning; personally owning major, high-visibility events (including the upcoming all-company offsite in Playa Del Carmen); managing event logistics including vendor selection, budgeting, travel coordination, venue planning, and onsite execution; building repeatable systems, playbooks, and operating infrastructure to scale the function; managing and supporting a lean events team; ensuring consistent execution across events of different sizes and formats; partnering cross-functionally with People, Finance, IT, Marketing, and Workplace teams; and raising the quality of employee experience through thoughtful, creative event design. You'll balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on execution, navigate complexity across multiple workstreams, and maintain high quality standards. The role requires someone who understands that experience matters as much as logistics—someone with strong operational rigor and exceptional attention to detail. Ideal candidates have significant experience leading large-scale internal events (500+ attendees) in high-growth or fast-moving environments, including multi-day programs, travel-heavy experiences, and international destinations. You should be equally strong at strategy and execution, with proven experience managing budgets, vendors, venue selection, and travel logistics. Experience building scalable systems and playbooks is essential, as is strong people and stakeholder management across multiple teams. A bonus is experience building or scaling internal events functions at distributed or remote-first companies. You must be willing and able to travel to support onsite events.
