Salary: USD 155,000 - 185,000 / annual

You will lead and develop The Zebra's Data Analytics team, reporting to the Senior Director of Data. Your team of product, marketing, and data analysts owns the insights driving business decisions across Product, Marketing, Finance, and executive leadership—from experiment analysis and funnel metrics to marketing performance and executive reporting. This is a hands-on management role. You will shape the analytics roadmap alongside the Senior Director and business partners, then own execution: setting priorities, delivering on commitments, and ensuring quality output. You'll be accountable for the technical and career growth of each analyst, and you'll lead hiring as the team scales. Key responsibilities include: - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product, marketing, and data analysts with technical guidance, career coaching, and performance management - Shape the analytics roadmap with leadership and business partners; prioritize work, track progress, remove blockers, and ensure on-time delivery - Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Data Engineering to translate business needs into actionable insights and scalable analytics solutions - Support new products and initiatives with measurement, instrumentation, analysis, and reporting - Drive quality, reliability, timeliness, and business impact of analysis, insights, data models, and reporting - Provide technical oversight on analytics modeling, experimentation, tooling, and coding best practices - Expand self-service analytics capabilities, enabling teams across the company to answer common questions independently - Identify data and measurement gaps; partner with Data Engineering and Engineering to resolve them - Contribute to broader data strategy, defining best practices, shared metrics, and quality standards - Lead hiring for the analytics team, partnering with recruiting to attract and onboard talent Your team works primarily in SQL, Python, Snowflake, dbt, and BI tools like Looker and Tableau, with increasing focus on AI-driven analysis and self-service capabilities. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years of experience in a data role (analytics, analytics engineering, or data science), including 3+ years directly managing a team - Strong proficiency with SQL and working command of Python - Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, experimentation, reporting, and statistical analysis - Experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Looker, or Tableau - Fluency with AI tools and how to use them to drive outcomes for an analytics team - Passionate about building and coaching successful analytics teams, with a track record of developing people technically and professionally - Experience partnering with business stakeholders to set priorities, including pushing back on requests that won't change a decision - Organized and excited about creating and optimizing analytics processes - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Experience managing multiple priorities and adapting in a fast-paced, agile environment Will impress: Ad tech, marketing analytics, or growth analytics experience; insurance, insurtech, or fintech background; experience building or owning an experimentation program end-to-end; experience with high-traffic, customer-facing websites.
