Jerry is building an AI-powered platform to manage all your physical assets—starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and beyond. The company has reached 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. They are now scaling toward 50M customers and a $10B valuation. The Business Operations & Analytics team is a core strategic function composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive data-informed decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. Each business unit has an embedded BizOps analyst who doesn't just run analyses and build dashboards, but shapes strategic questions, pulls the right data, draws conclusions, and drives teams toward critical goals. You will be hired as a Manager to lead and expand this function. You'll sit on the central BizOps & Analytics team (currently 14 people) while being embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You will own the analytical function for your business unit end-to-end. Key responsibilities: - Define the right problems: Understand what business question each analysis answers and what decision it will inform. Push back on flawed questions. - Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move your team's key metrics. - Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts. Communicate what's happening, why, and what next steps should be. - Leadership: As a manager, you will help scale the BizOps function by mentoring and developing team members, setting analytical standards, and ensuring impact across your domain. The culture emphasizes no slides (no 3am deck reformatting), no corporate fluff, hands-on execution, and ownership. You will see analytical insights through to implementation and own critical domains with minimal bureaucracy. Tools: SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, GitHub. Requirements: - 4+ years of experience at a consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, etc.), investment bank, or high-growth technology company. - Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently. - Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable impact. - Clear, persuasive communicator who can influence decisions at the leadership level. - First-principles thinker who breaks problems into hypotheses before diving into data. - Owner mentality: if something is broken, you feel responsible for fixing it.
