The Business Operations & Analytics team is a core strategic function composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive data-informed decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. Each business unit has an embedded BizOps analyst who shapes questions, pulls data, draws conclusions, and drives teams toward critical goals.
As Manager of BizOps & Analytics, you will lead and expand this function. You'll sit on the central BizOps team while being embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas—Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships—and own the analytical function for that business unit end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the right problems: Understand what business question each analysis answers and what decision it will inform. Push back on flawed questions.
- Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move key metrics.
- Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, or operations counterparts; explain what's happening, why, and what next steps should be.
- Lead and develop team members as the BizOps function scales across multiple business units.
The role is hands-on, not pure strategy. Your day-to-day involves surfacing analytical insights, driving decisions, and seeing them through end-to-end. The culture emphasizes no slides, no corporate fluff, and no unnecessary meetings—only work that materially changes business trajectory.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience at a consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain preferred), investment bank, or high-growth technology company.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, or Excel.
- Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable impact.
- Clear, persuasive communicator who can influence decisions at the leadership level.
- First-principles thinker who asks "what are we trying to solve?" before diving into analysis.
- Owner mentality; takes responsibility for fixing broken things even outside your swim lane.
