Backed by Google Ventures, Balderton Capital, and TQ Ventures, Lawhive secured $60M in Series B funding in December 2025 and is expanding internationally after launching in the US in 2025. The Finance team operates as a lean, high-impact organization across UK and US group structures, serving as the engine room for scaling this first-of-its-kind global AI-native law firm. The team partners deeply with product, engineering, legal operations, people & talent, and the executive team to build world-class, audit-ready, scalable finance architecture. As a Management Accountant, you will support month-end close and reporting for UK and US entities, working closely with the Senior Management Accountant and wider finance team. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role focused on keeping books accurate, strengthening controls, and building audit-ready infrastructure ahead of the company's first statutory audit. Key responsibilities include: - Supporting month-end close across multiple group entities in the UK and US, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls - Preparing management accounts with variance analysis and commentary - Maintaining balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, deferred revenue, WIP, and intercompany activity - Working across Xero and NetSuite to process transactions and maintain clean, well-controlled ledgers - Supporting rollout of scalable, automated processes across payables, revenue, payroll, and general ledger - Helping improve reporting, data quality, and speed of month-end - Supporting preparation for Lawhive's first statutory audit, including audit file preparation and responding to auditor queries - Helping strengthen financial controls and documentation across entities - Flagging risks or gaps in process early and supporting remediation - Assisting with stabilization of newly acquired entities - Supporting intercompany accounting and reconciliation across the UK/US group structure The next 12-18 months will involve designing and embedding financial systems, controls and reporting infrastructure for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group; building real-time, decision-grade data for fast, high-quality business decisions; transforming acquired entities into a unified finance ecosystem; implementing automation and intelligent workflows; and partnering with leaders on strategy and investment decisions. REQUIREMENTS: - Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) - Experience with month-end close and management accounts preparation, ideally across more than one entity - Working knowledge of Xero and/or NetSuite, or strong general ledger systems experience - Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment and working through ambiguity - Solid grounding in reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting - Detail-oriented with strong commercial curiosity and keen to understand the "why" behind the numbers - Good communicator who works well with stakeholders outside finance - Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives with autonomy
