Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations for its Maritime Division products, including XL autonomous underwater vehicles and associated equipment, on behalf of customers.
You will lead a team of skilled technicians and tradespeople responsible for maintaining advanced maritime assets. Your responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, managing, and developing a team of skilled technicians and tradespeople
- Establishing forward operating facilities and infrastructure for test and maintenance activities
- Developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules
- Guiding the development of maintenance documentation, including manuals, standard practices, and parts catalogues in a technical environment
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures
- Overseeing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Collaborating with the Fleet Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and maintainability
- Analyzing maintenance data and key metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Developing and managing maintenance budgets, including forecasting and cost control
- Coordinating with supply chain management to ensure availability of spare parts and materials
- Liaising with Maritime customers, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders
- Providing stakeholder input into root cause analysis for equipment failures and implementing corrective actions
- Working closely with the Product Lifecycle Maintenance function to optimize total lifecycle cost
Anduril's Maritime Division develops software and hardware solutions for autonomous maritime systems, including products like Dive-XL, Dive-LD, Copperhead, and Seabed Sentry. The division is expanding into the surface maritime domain and executing billion-dollar contracts while performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) autonomous underwater vehicle operations.
This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence in the naval defense industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Suitable trade or engineering qualification
- 7-10+ years of experience in maintenance management in a high-tech industry
- Proven experience in influencing and engaging customers
- Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and facilities
- Experience with condition-based maintenance and predictive maintenance technologies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance
