Esusu is a fintech platform building inclusive credit access for underserved populations. The company has facilitated $50 billion in credit activity and serves 5 million+ rental units through partnerships with real estate companies, government entities, fintechs, banks, and employers.
As Loan Operations Manager, you will lead the Loan Operations team and oversee the execution of loan origination, underwriting, disbursements, servicing, disputes, and reporting. You manage a team of Loan Specialists, Loan Underwriters, Team Leads, and operational support staff, with accountability for team performance, queue health, SLA adherence, quality standards, and operational risk mitigation.
Key responsibilities include:
**Team Leadership & Daily Operations**: Lead the Loan Operations team across multiple functions. Set daily and weekly priorities across queues based on volume, complexity, risk, and SLAs. Monitor backlog, aging cases, bottlenecks, and turnaround times; intervene when delivery is off track. Run team operating rhythms (huddles, queue reviews, escalation reviews, performance check-ins) tied to measurable outcomes.
**Process Optimization & Modernization**: Identify opportunities to modernize, automate, and scale workflows. Partner with product, engineering, and finance teams to evolve processes as products and customer needs change. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
**Quality & Risk Management**: Establish and enforce quality standards across all operational workflows. Implement controls to mitigate operational risk. Ensure accurate, timely, and scalable execution across origination support, underwriting operations, disbursements, servicing, and disputes.
**Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work with product, engineering, finance, and compliance teams on operational initiatives. Coordinate reporting and ensure alignment across the organization.
