Remote is a global employment platform that helps organizations recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. The company is seeking a Senior Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to join the Employee Lifecycle Operations team.
In this role, you will oversee occupational health and safety activities across multiple European countries, ensuring compliance and effective execution. Key responsibilities include managing vendor partnerships and contracting processes for OHS services, coordinating health assessments and safety training rollouts globally, conducting country-level OHS audits, and developing new health and safety policies in partnership with People and Legal teams.
You will serve as the internal point of contact for OHS matters, providing guidance to junior team members, monitoring vendor performance, and identifying opportunities to improve existing procedures. The role requires managing employee data confidentially while championing Remote's values and the Lifecycle team's goals.
Required qualifications include OHS certification or degree with multi-country European experience, vendor management experience, strong analytical and project management skills, and fluent English. Additional language proficiency and remote work experience are valued. You'll report to the Manager of Lifecycle: Occupational Health & Safety and work asynchronously with a distributed team across six continents. The position is fully remote with preferred locations in Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, or the UK.
