Remote is a global employment platform that helps organizations recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. The company is seeking a Senior Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to join the Employee Lifecycle Operations team.
In this role, you will oversee occupational health and safety (OHS) activities across multiple European countries, ensuring compliance and effective execution. Key responsibilities include managing vendor partnerships for health and safety services, coordinating health assessments and safety training rollouts, conducting country-level OHS audits, and developing new health and safety policies in collaboration with People and Legal teams. You will serve as the internal point of contact for OHS matters, provide guidance to junior team members, monitor vendor performance, and identify opportunities to improve existing procedures.
You will report to the Manager of Lifecycle: Occupational Health & Safety and work within the Lifecycle Operations team. The role requires managing multiple jurisdictions with minimal supervision while maintaining a focus on employee experience and regulatory compliance.
Required qualifications include OHS certification or degree with multi-country European experience, vendor management experience, strong analytical and project management skills, and fluent English. Additional language proficiency and remote work experience are valued. You should be a proactive communicator, independent problem-solver, and team player with a growth mindset.
The position is fully remote with preferred locations in Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, or the UK. Start date is flexible, as soon as possible.
