Wordsmith is a legal operations platform serving in-house legal teams at companies like Financial Times, Canva, and Sage. The platform uses AI agents to handle routine legal work while keeping lawyers in control of judgment-critical decisions. Backed by $100M from Index Ventures and General Catalyst, Wordsmith is building a defining company in legal AI. As a Legal Solutions Engineer, you'll be the bridge between Wordsmith's product and customer success. You'll lead implementation projects for new customers, designing and configuring workflows tailored to each organization's legal function. This role combines implementation expertise, problem-solving, and advisory work. Key responsibilities include: - Leading customer implementation projects from design through deployment - Working directly with in-house legal teams and Legal Ops leaders to understand their workflows - Translating complex legal processes into structured, AI-enabled workflows within the platform - Supporting onboarding and early adoption, then identifying expansion opportunities - Surfacing customer insights and patterns back to Product and Engineering teams - Advising customers on best practices for legal technology implementation You'll need experience in legal tech, legal operations, or process transformation, with a strong understanding of how in-house legal teams operate. Ideal candidates include legal engineers, legal operations professionals, lawyers who've transitioned into legal tech, or SaaS implementation consultants with legal backgrounds. You should be comfortable managing customer projects, guiding stakeholders through change, and working across both legal and technical domains. Strong communication skills and the ability to turn messy processes into clear systems are essential. This is a high-ownership role based in New York with an expectation of in-office presence. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, with direct impact on customer outcomes and product adoption.
