Salary: USD 99,200 - 148,800 / annual

As Legal Operations Project Manager, you will modernize how Harvey's Legal function operates by combining best-in-class legal operations practices with hands-on AI tool usage. You'll be a key contributor to an AI-native legal operations function within a company itself defining the future of AI for legal work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end legal operations projects (intake, matter management, advice requests, policy changes) from requirements gathering through implementation and iteration
- Translating strategic priorities into concrete project plans and execution steps, serving as connective tissue between strategy and delivery
- Supporting AI enablement across Legal: identifying use cases, evaluating and piloting AI tools (including Harvey's own platform), and driving training and adoption
- Building and maintaining legal metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting on workload, turnaround times, risk patterns, and performance
- Evaluating, implementing, and improving the legal technology stack (matter management, knowledge management, e-billing, document management, contract tools)
- Developing legal knowledge assets: templates, playbooks, FAQs, self-service resources, and internal documentation
- Supporting operational, administrative, systems, and data work as priorities evolve
You bring 3–6 years of operations or project management experience with responsibility for running and improving cross-functional systems, processes, or programs (legal operations, business operations, systems operations, or related). You have meaningful experience working in or closely with in-house legal teams and understand how Legal supports the business. You're a builder with a mindset for owning many moving pieces, creating structure in a function still taking shape rather than optimizing established playbooks.
You have experience designing and implementing processes, systems, and programs from requirements gathering through rollout and iteration. You're comfortable working with both Legal and technical teams, translating business needs into practical requirements, with experience or strong interest in applying AI tools in legal or professional services settings. You operate well with general guidance, seek direction on unfamiliar issues, and balance competing priorities in a globally distributed organization. Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with familiarity across legal technology and experience building and interpreting metrics, are essential.
Bonus qualifications: hands-on CLM or contracting systems experience; practical experience building or deploying AI-driven workflows with familiarity in agentic behavior, orchestration, prompt engineering, performance metrics, and safety protocols; experience designing AI guidance, guardrails, or adoption programs for legal or professional services teams.
