Oklo is seeking an experienced Legal Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel and broader Legal team at a fast-growing advanced fission energy company. This hybrid role is based remotely but requires travel to Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter, with a preference for Pacific time zone candidates. You will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the General Counsel, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel coordination, and preparation of presentations and critical documents. Beyond executive support, you will manage operations for the entire Legal team: coordinating team travel and offsites, overseeing outside counsel billing and accruals, supporting new hire onboarding, and maintaining legal knowledge management systems. The role demands a combination of administrative excellence and agility to support a lean, scaling legal function at a high-growth startup. You will leverage AI and modern tools to provide support at scale while handling highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment. Key responsibilities include: providing comprehensive support to the General Counsel and team (calendar, meetings, travel); coordinating meeting logistics and cross-functional communications; preparing and editing presentations, reports, and critical documents; planning and arranging team meetings and offsites; supporting legal knowledge management; managing legal billing operations and outside counsel invoicing; assisting with departmental budgeting and expense tracking; and facilitating seamless onboarding of new legal team members. Oklo develops fast fission power plants for clean, reliable, and affordable energy; establishes a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes; and advances nuclear fuel recycling. The company was the first to receive a site use permit from the U.S. Department of Energy for a commercial advanced fission plant and submitted the first custom combined license application for an advanced reactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The ideal candidate is a startup person who thrives in fast-paced, iterative environments without excessive process. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and creative in solving open-ended problems. You bring enthusiasm and a sense of mission beyond clocking in and out, work effectively as a team player, and are passionate about clean energy and advanced fission. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 5–8 years proven experience as an assistant or in a similar role supporting an in-house General Counsel or broader Legal department - Proven experience managing calendars, executive scheduling, and travel logistics - Familiarity with outside counsel billing practices and e-billing platforms - Strong technical proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Box, Atlassian, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat (tracked changes, redlining, PDF creation) - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize - Proactive mindset with ability to anticipate needs and challenges BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous experience in a high-growth startup - Proficiency or interest in AI productivity and automation tools
