Re:Build Manufacturing is revitalizing America's manufacturing base by operating an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies to scale production in aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics. The Lean Transformation Coach reports to the Chief Lean Officer and drives organizational change and operational excellence by leading lean transformation initiatives across strategically selected internal value streams and collaborating with external customers.
In this role, you will guide strategy deployment, conduct value stream analysis, and facilitate improvement events that impact safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and lead time. You'll coach and mentor site Lean Leaders, teach lean tools and methodologies, and interface with customers on product and process design initiatives. Key responsibilities include coaching lean transformation on selected value streams, mentoring technical and transactional teams, tracking transformation results, leading complex problem-solving, and modeling lean behaviors to enable lean culture throughout the enterprise.
You'll work hands-on in the Gemba (the actual place where work happens), traveling to sites to coach teams directly. The role emphasizes teaching, mentoring, and coaching to develop lean leadership and sustainable improvements that support business growth. You'll leverage expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, A3 Problem Solving, TPM/OEE, SMED, 2P/3P, Standard Work, line balancing, quality tools, cell design, Kanban, and 5S. This is a high-impact position with considerable autonomy and variety, critical to Re:Build's strategic lean transformation journey and mission to revitalize U.S. manufacturing.
