Salary: USD 130,800 - 155,000 / annual
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The company is designing, manufacturing, and operating all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise, with a mission to advance sustainable air mobility.
As Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will own the supplier selection and negotiation process for this fast-paced aerospace manufacturer. You will be responsible for engaging internally and externally at every level to ensure successful partnerships with best-in-class suppliers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive RFx (Request for Proposal/Quote) and supplier selection processes with key stakeholders
- Negotiate best-in-class value through thorough cost negotiation
- Close contract negotiations to support successful transition into production
- Manage business relationships to develop productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with cross-functional leaders to continuously evolve policies and procedures, enhancing organizational value and efficiency
- Travel approximately 20% of the time
Required qualifications:
- BS/BA with 8+ years of experience, or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience
- Automotive or aerospace cost negotiation expertise
- In-depth knowledge of high-volume supply contracts
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and highly-regulated environment
- Strong executive communication and internal/external negotiation skills
- Ability to cut through ambiguity and detail limitations to make concrete and sound decisions
- Insatiable curiosity and keen attention to detail
- Solid analytical and computer skills (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides)
Bonus qualifications include training in presentation and communication skills, and APICS Certification.
