BRINC is a vertically integrated U.S. drone technology company building autonomous systems for emergency response. The company designs and manufactures unmanned aircraft systems, autonomous drone stations, command-and-control software, and advanced autonomy for public safety. BRINC serves over 1,000 public safety customers across all 50 states and is the sole drone supplier to Motorola Solutions.
As Lead Production Technician, you will be a key technical and operational leader reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager. You will work across the drone product lifecycle spanning design, assembly, production, advanced repair, and refurbishment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of production technicians while maintaining direct involvement in technical troubleshooting and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of production technicians with task assignment, training, proficiency assessment, and performance feedback
- Overseeing assembly, advanced production processes, and maintenance/repair/refurbishment of advanced drone systems, including RMA process management
- Serving as first-line technical resource for in-depth diagnostics and complex repairs on new products and returned items
- Ensuring products meet quality and safety standards, leading root-cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring process compliance
- Developing and implementing efficient workflows and driving process improvements
- Coordinating with supply chain on inventory management for parts and tools
- Maintaining accurate production and service records and generating performance reports
- Serving as liaison across departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Support) to root cause defects and find solutions
- Facilitating daily team meetings and preparing end-of-shift reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Avionics, Electronics, Robotics, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- At least 1 year of experience in a progressive leadership role within high-tech manufacturing environment
- Experience working in FOD/ESD-sensitive environments
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical systems with proficiency in soldering, troubleshooting, and test equipment
- Understanding of complex systems, engineering drawings, and engineering schematics
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical abilities with effective communication
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, advanced electronics, or drone technology industry
- IPC certification (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic equipment and R&D environments
- Leadership and performance management experience
- Proficiency in project and inventory management
