Rocket Lab is seeking a Lead, Planning & Fulfillment to manage supply chain operations at its Long Beach headquarters. This role leads a team of planners and coordinators/expeditors, overseeing demand, supply, and fulfillment planning within the MRP/ERP system. You will maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), parts, and master data; update demand to reflect Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Introductions (NPIs); and provide visibility into material positions through line-of-balance reports, material shortage reports, and clear-to-build reports. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve company-wide goals, monitoring on-time delivery of purchased items, managing obsolete and end-of-life products to minimize unusable inventory, and fostering positive relationships with suppliers. You will escalate cost or quality concerns to Strategic Sourcing and Quality teams, align demand and supply planning with production schedules, communicate material status to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with company policies related to procurement and material planning. Required qualifications: 5+ years of experience in material planning/supply chain with a bachelor's degree (or 9+ years equivalent work experience); proficiency in ERP and MRP systems; strong knowledge of material planning fundamentals including master data and BOM management; experience producing line-of-balance reports and conducting clear-to-build reviews; proficiency in MS Office with math and statistical analysis skills; U.S. citizenship (program requirement); and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Desirable qualifications include exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, team-oriented mindset, experience in aerospace/EV automotive/disruptive manufacturing, familiarity with AS9100 standards and U.S. export controls (ITAR/EAR), ability to read engineering drawings, experience managing obsolete/end-of-life products, and SQL proficiency.
