Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Manufacturing team. This role owns the full manufacturing value chain for cutting-edge defense hardware, including design for manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and work documentation.
You will build and mentor a high-performing team of Manufacturing Engineers with expertise in mechanical, electrical, system integration, and environmental testing. Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence through continuous improvement and Kaizen events, partnering with Product Quality Engineering on root cause corrective action (RCCA) burndowns, and collaborating with Design Engineering teams from early to late development phases to ensure smooth new product introduction (NPI) transitions.
You will develop process flows for complex assemblies, breaking them into logical subassemblies and sub-processes. You'll contribute to end-customer hardware design, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design, demonstrated team leadership, and hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly).
Required skills include proficiency with ERP, CAD, PLM, and FRACAS software, plus the ability to creatively deliver electromechanical solutions in resource-constrained environments. You must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information. Preferred qualifications include RF product experience, software/firmware flashing expertise, proven success scaling production from tens to thousands of units, cost analysis skills, and an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
