Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, seeks a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Analytics to join its Digital Manufacturing team in Costa Mesa. You will lead a small team of manufacturing engineers developing analytical solutions that drive day-to-day decision-making across product lines and new product development initiatives.
In this role, you'll lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers, Analytics while developing new solutions and maintaining existing analytical tools. You'll engage with manufacturing and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure team success and work with manufacturing leadership to implement analytics-driven solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Key responsibilities include conducting detailed analysis of manufacturing data (production metrics, process flow, resource utilization) to identify improvement opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align efforts with business objectives, and monitoring industry trends to keep analytical tools at the cutting edge. You'll create comprehensive documentation of analytical solutions, lead kaizen/lean/Six Sigma initiatives, provide strategic input on capacity planning and workforce management, implement and refine manufacturing KPIs, and support new product development from a manufacturing perspective.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 8+ years in manufacturing strategy or analysis roles with proven track record of insights driving results. 2+ years directly managing teams or leading complex cross-functional projects. Strong expertise with data visualization tools (SQL, Python, Typescript, Tableau, PowerBI, PLTR Foundry, MS VBA). Proficiency in statistical analysis, lean manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information.
