Salary: USD 150,000 - 240,000 / annual
True Anomaly is seeking a technical leader to shape the physical infrastructure and strategic planning of its advanced manufacturing and production operations. The company builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for U.S. national security and space superiority.
In this role, you will lead the strategic design and build-out of manufacturing and production facilities, working closely with the Production Engineering team to determine infrastructure requirements and line design. You will navigate ambiguity by partnering with internal and external stakeholders—architects, engineers, contractors, and cross-functional teams—to drive progress even when design inputs are incomplete.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead strategic facility design and infrastructure planning for the manufacturing pipeline
- Support long-term master planning to determine optimal locations for engineering programs and identify long-lead requirements before they become bottlenecks
- Challenge and pressure-test facility layouts against long-term operational objectives, ensuring designs serve future growth, not just current state
- Drive manufacturing engineering decisions that maximize flexibility, cost savings, throughput, and speed
- Hold external vendors and internal partners accountable to deliver rigorous data and analysis supporting program requests
- Develop, implement, and govern production facility standards across all sites to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality
- Design production environments that prioritize growth strategy, worker safety, and productivity
- Own the facilities scope of line build-out projects from concept through commissioning

**REQUIREMENTS:**
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or critical infrastructure design
- Degree in architecture, engineering, or construction
- Deep technical fluency in production line design, infrastructure requirements, and manufacturing facility build-out
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive progress with incomplete information
- Experience with long-term master planning and managing long-lead requirements
- Proven ability to evaluate and rethink layouts against long-term operational objectives
- Track record of driving cost, flexibility, throughput, and speed gains through smart layout and engineering decisions
- Demonstrated ability to hold external vendors and cross-functional partners accountable to data and deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to develop and govern facility standards across multiple sites
- Experience partnering closely with manufacturing or production engineering teams
- Experience scaling production facilities in a high-growth environment
- Ability to own projects from concept through commissioning
**PREFERRED:**
- Experience designing or delivering secure production environments
- Professional licensure (PE, RA, or equivalent)
**ADDITIONAL NOTES:**
This position requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State due to ITAR compliance.
