Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks an experienced Lead of Business Process and Procedures to drive manufacturing engineering excellence across the organization. You will build and lead a high-performing team of business process engineers responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes for a diverse, complex product portfolio—from high-complexity systems to high-volume automation.
Key responsibilities include:
**Team Leadership & Development**: Build, mentor, and manage a team of business process engineers. Foster cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development. Establish a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage budgets, resources, and staffing.
**Process Development & Execution**: Define and lead manufacturing engineering initiatives from concept through pilot and full rollout. Work closely with engineers and technicians to understand workflows, pain points, and operational needs. Champion best practices across global manufacturing teams through documentation, templates, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Facilitate early cross-functional engagement with product design, supply chain, quality, and EHS teams.
**Strategic Impact**: Own new business processes for manufacturing and industrial engineering, balancing standardization with adaptability for scalable solutions. Align manufacturing milestones with integrated program schedules. Identify improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations on feasibility and risk for new manufacturing projects.
You'll operate at the intersection of hardware engineering, manufacturing operations, and organizational transformation, supporting Anduril's rapid growth and expanding production capabilities. The role requires deep understanding of product lifecycle phases, manufacturing readiness, and the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
Required: 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, operations, design engineering, business process development, or related transformation work; 8+ years total relevant experience; strong leadership and communication skills; familiarity with PLM, MES, and TES systems; U.S. Person status for export control compliance.
