Graphcore, an AI infrastructure company backed by SoftBank, is seeking an experienced Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer to own and evolve their Atlassian Cloud ecosystem across multiple sites and environments. This role is responsible for maintaining architectural integrity, security posture, and scalable expansion of the Atlassian platform serving cross-company collaboration needs.
Key responsibilities include managing multiple Atlassian Cloud sites with secure separation of internal and third-party environments; establishing and maintaining a configuration-as-code operating model where all settings are provisioned through source control, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines rather than manual management; defining and enforcing governance standards aligned with audit, compliance, and security requirements; building and maintaining automated identity and access provisioning integrated with Azure AD; leading automation efforts for project provisioning, workflows, permissions, and scheme management; and developing self-service capabilities to standardize project setup and reduce administrative overhead.
You will serve as the primary platform owner and authoritative decision-maker for Atlassian configuration, preventing drift and ensuring consistency across all builds. Additional duties include conducting root cause analysis on platform issues, providing enterprise-level support for complex Atlassian problems, delivering advisory services to project managers and engineering teams, and building and mentoring the Atlassian platform team as it grows.
The role combines immediate hands-on support, configuration, and onboarding with strategic platform growth and process scalability. You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary technical team in an encouraging culture focused on solving interesting problems with real-world impact.
