Anduril Industries is seeking a Launch Service Mission Manager to join its Space team in Costa Mesa, California. This role owns the critical interface between Anduril's spacecraft and external launch providers across all spacecraft programs. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all launch-related matters, coordinating deliverables, managing launch integration plans, and ensuring requirements satisfaction across commercial rideshare and national security space launch platforms.
Key responsibilities include owning launch integration plans and procedures for spacecraft launching to all orbital regimes, providing comprehensive deliverables to launch providers for payload processing facilities, and collaborating across mechanical design, systems engineering, electrical design, program management, and mission operations teams. You will triage technical issues, root-cause failures, coordinate next steps with launch providers and customers, and support challenging schedules during ground testing, launch windows, and on-orbit operations. Additional duties involve working with government agencies to obtain required licenses (FCC, NOAA) and ensure regulatory compliance for spacecraft launches.
The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) with 3+ years of professional launch experience and demonstrated expertise in launch integration operations with emphasis on safety and reliability. You must be capable of understanding complex systems and detailed requirements, solving technical problems with minimal oversight, and communicating clearly through documentation and training materials. An active U.S. Secret security clearance is required, with willingness to support launch-related travel as needed.
Preferred qualifications include coding or automation experience to improve efficiency, familiarity with launch vehicles and spacecraft systems, experience supporting spacecraft environmental test campaigns, and expertise designing/integrating mechanical and electrical ground support equipment. A Top Secret clearance is preferred. This role is tied to ongoing, funded programs within Anduril's Space Business Line, supporting DOD and Intelligence Community missions on operationally-relevant timelines.
