Miter is a vertical SaaS platform serving the construction industry, providing HR, finance, and operations software to replace legacy 1980s-90s systems. The company has grown to thousands of customers and tens of millions in ARR since 2021, backed by top-tier investors (Bessemer, Coatue, Battery).
As Launch Operations Specialist, you'll be the operational backbone of Miter's customer onboarding process. You'll own data migrations for dozens of concurrent customer implementations, transforming messy payroll, benefits, and demographic data from spreadsheets and PDFs into Miter's required formats. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing setup data migrations across 15+ concurrent customer implementations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Collaborating with Launch Managers to deliver error-free go-lives on schedule
- Extracting data from clients' cloud-based and on-premises systems (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Identifying and proactively communicating data gaps or corrections to clients and internal teams
- Building processes, automations, and AI-powered workflows to scale the function
- Supporting the broader Launch team on related initiatives
You'll need 2+ years in data-heavy operations, implementation, or migration roles with hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and validating data. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are essential, along with the ability to manage high-volume concurrent projects and customer-driven deadlines. A builder mindset is critical—you should look for ways to turn manual work into repeatable tools and automations. You'll be genuinely excited about AI and already use AI tools to accelerate your work. Strong relationship skills, meticulous attention to detail, and clear proactive communication are required.
Nice-to-have skills include payroll/tax knowledge, familiarity with common payroll providers, and SQL or scripting experience. The interview process includes a recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, take-home exercise, team round, and final leadership interview.
