As a Laboratory Technologist at Neko's New York clinic lab, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality across all laboratory operations. You will perform moderate-complexity clinical laboratory testing according to established SOPs and regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, New York State). Your core responsibilities include: - Processing, analyzing, and verifying patient specimens with accurate documentation and full traceability; escalating anomalies promptly - Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, including daily/weekly/monthly operational checks, QC activities, and reagent management - Reviewing QC data to identify trends and deviations early, escalating quality risks proactively - Maintaining inspection-ready lab standards through consistent SOP adherence, safety protocol compliance, and clean documentation - Participating in proficiency testing, audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives - Collaborating with clinical, operations, and technical teams to optimize lab workflows and reliability - Mentoring newer team members and sharing knowledge without formal supervisory duties The role demands precision, attention to detail, and methodical problem-solving. You will handle repetitive work with consistent standards, notice subtle data trends before they become problems, troubleshoot instrument issues calmly and systematically, and take ownership of quality systems and documentation that others may not see but that form the foundation of lab reliability. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience in a moderate- or high-complexity clinical lab setting - Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (generalist) - Hands-on experience performing clinical chemistry and immunology testing - Preferred: ASCP certification; experience with Abbott Alinity system
