Junction is building infrastructure for diagnostic healthcare, making patient data accessible and actionable across labs and devices. The Lab Operations team ensures every lab order moves smoothly from order to result—managing kit shipments, test execution, and result delivery to providers and patients. You'll lead a distributed Lab Operations team responsible for day-to-day execution, quality, and scaling. This is a people leadership and operational ownership role. You'll manage team members across time zones, coach them toward independence, and own SLA attainment, quality standards, and productivity targets. Key responsibilities include: - Manage and develop a distributed Lab Operations team, supporting individual contributors and emerging leaders - Plan team capacity and staffing as order volume grows - Own day-to-day operations: lab result review, order investigations, proactive issue resolution - Maintain SLAs, quality standards, and productivity targets - Interface with lab vendors and customers; troubleshoot issues and streamline processes - Step into complex operational issues requiring cross-functional coordination (Product, Engineering, Customer Success) - Improve SOPs, quality standards, and workflows to enable scaling - Identify recurring issues and partner with the Operations Systems & Tooling team on automation - Build a team that solves problems independently with clear ownership Success is measured by SLA attainment, operational quality at scale, reduced escalations, team engagement and retention, and operational improvements that reduce manual work. You bring 5+ years managing operations teams through growth, with experience coaching people toward independence and handling performance conversations. You're comfortable with exception-heavy operational problems, not just script-following. You've built or significantly improved SOPs, SLAs, or quality frameworks. You've managed distributed teams across time zones and handled vendor relationships in business-critical operations. Healthcare, diagnostics, or logistics experience is valued. Nice-to-haves include experience with distributed teams in the Philippines, lab/diagnostics operations, and partnering with internal systems teams on automation.
