As a KYC Representative, you will be a critical part of Payoneer's compliance and onboarding operations in Shanghai. Your primary responsibilities include verifying customer documents for authenticity and regulatory compliance during the onboarding process, serving as the point of contact for business escalations, and providing timely progress updates on cases. You will identify potential issues and opportunities from daily work and escalate them to management for follow-up. The role requires strict adherence to both local Chinese and global KYC (Know Your Customer) standards and procedures, with accountability for maintaining SLAs aligned with team and business goals.
You should be a self-starter with strong customer-centric values, excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, and able to work effectively under pressure with tight time constraints. Prior KYC knowledge is a plus.
For external candidates, a college degree or above is required, with global work experience and payments industry background being strong assets. Internal Payoneer candidates should have 2+ years of working experience with a minimum of 1 year tenure in Customer Care or Operations roles, plus good performance and manager reference.
