Baseten is a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company that powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies like Cursor, Notion, Abridge, and Writer. The company recently raised $1.5B in Series F funding and is scaling its operations team.
You will join Baseten as an IT Support / Operations Engineer, serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day technical support and IT operations. This is a hands-on role combining hardware and software troubleshooting, user lifecycle management, and infrastructure maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the escalation point for technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across Mac and Windows fleets
- Manage user lifecycle administration: provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management across systems and services
- Own the IT onboarding experience for new employees, from laptop setup to first-day configuration
- Maintain and improve office IT infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance
- Build and maintain a knowledge base of self-serve resources to reduce ticket volume
- Manage IT asset procurement, inventory tracking, and vendor relationships
- Support new office buildouts and contribute to workplace IT planning as the company scales
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
- Perform systems administration, including managing admin-level access, configuring permissions, and routine maintenance across cloud-based services
- Adapt to evolving needs of a fast-growing company
This is a hybrid role based in the New York office, requiring three days per week in-person to ensure physical office and AV systems remain high-performing.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace, MDM platforms (e.g., Kandji), IdM/SSO solutions (e.g., Okta), and video conferencing tools
- Proven experience administering macOS at scale, with solid working knowledge of Windows environments
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and a track record of streamlining IT processes and workflows
- Excellent communication skills with a genuine passion for delivering great support experiences
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
