Lendbuzz is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join their Boston office. The role focuses on managing the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure and employee devices, with a strong emphasis on macOS fleet management, endpoint security, and proactive service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Device & Asset Management: Administer Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect for macOS environments, handling enrollment, configuration profiles, smart groups, patching, and compliance. Manage JumpCloud as the MDM solution for Windows and Linux endpoints. Oversee Apple Business Manager for device enrollment, app licensing, and managed Apple IDs. Provision, configure, troubleshoot, and repair macOS, Windows, and Linux machines, mobile devices, servers, and peripherals. Own IT asset management end-to-end—from procurement and deployment through licensing and retirement—maintaining accurate records aligned with budget and compliance requirements.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Execute onboarding, offboarding, and role-change processes including device preparation, account setup, access provisioning, and equipment recovery.
Service Delivery & Documentation: Manage the daily Jira ticket queue with consistent prioritization, response times, and communication. Identify recurring issues and eliminate root causes through automation, fixes, or documentation. Write and maintain SOPs and knowledge base articles to enable employee self-service. Collaborate with the global IT team, stakeholders, and vendors on escalations and process improvements. Initiate improvement projects proactively to prevent problems from escalating.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in IT support, IT operations, systems administration, or endpoint/device management (degree in IT, Computer Science, or Information Systems welcome; equivalent hands-on experience acceptable)
- Jamf certification (Jamf Certified Technician, Administrator, or higher) with hands-on production experience running Jamf Pro and Jamf Connect for macOS fleets
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems, including server administration, in addition to macOS
- Experience with JumpCloud or similar MDM/directory platform for Windows and Linux endpoints
- Experience with Apple Business Manager and mobile device management (iOS/Android)
- Understanding of IT asset management and the employee device lifecycle from procurement through retirement
- Strong communication and customer service instincts
- Proactive mindset: anticipate problems before escalation, initiate improvements, and remain steady under pressure
Nice to Have:
- Networking fundamentals knowledge (LAN/Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing)
- Ticketing system experience (Jira)
- Okta or similar SSO/identity platform experience
- Jamf Certified Expert (JCE) or Jamf 300/400-level certification
- Apple certification (ACSP or equivalent)
- Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Full project lifecycle ownership experience
