Taptap Send, a fast-growing cross-border fintech for emerging markets backed by top investors including Spark Capital and Canaan, is seeking an IT Support Engineer to serve as the primary technical point of contact for their Dubai office.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end technical operations for the Dubai team, managing day-to-day IT support through Jira Service Management ticketing, SaaS access provisioning, and device/asset management using Jamf MDM and Bluetally. You will handle complete onboarding and offboarding workflows, including laptop procurement, hardware/software configuration, and account provisioning. Additionally, you will manage all audio/visual and video conferencing systems to ensure seamless internal and external meetings.
You will take full responsibility for the local office network—patching, maintaining, and troubleshooting infrastructure—while serving as the primary liaison with Etisalat for internet services, managing outages and negotiating upgrades. You will also maintain vendor and supplier relationships with local hardware and software providers, create internal IT documentation and runbooks, and champion continuous improvement by leveraging AI and automation to streamline processes and enhance organizational productivity.
This is a role requiring autonomy, reliability, and a proactive mindset. You will be the approachable, dependable face of IT for the Dubai team, working independently and managing your own time flexibly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in a standalone or primary IT support role within a modern office environment
- Proven experience working in regulated environments (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS compliance; familiarity with regulators such as CBUAE, DFSA, VARA)
- Hands-on experience with Jamf, asset management tools, Jira, Okta, and Google Workspace
- Hands-on experience managing Apple hardware and software
- Practical experience patching, maintaining, and troubleshooting local office networks
- Experience managing ISP relationships and navigating outages
- Experience managing AV systems and conference room technology
- Familiarity with local IT procurement in the UAE and regional hardware vendors
- Strong communication and vendor management skills (prior experience with UAE ISPs like Etisalat is highly valued)
- Ability to work independently and manage time flexibly
- Fluency in English required; Arabic is a bonus
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Jamf Pro (100/200) are highly desirable
