ICEYE Portugal seeks an IT Site Engineer & Local Security Officer to serve as the on-site technical and security leader for its Lisbon Center of Excellence. This hybrid role combines IT operations and facility/personnel security responsibilities, reporting directly to the CEO of ICEYE Portugal.
On the IT side, you will own local infrastructure and support for the engineering office, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Portuguese Air Force programme deployments. Responsibilities include managing hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), printers, meeting-room systems, and engineering workstations. You will support FDE deployments at Portuguese Air Force locations with secure laptops, network connectivity, and air-gapped workstation provisioning. You will manage user access via Okta, maintain site documentation, handle Jira Service Management requests, and partner on the Class A office fit-out including structured cabling, AV systems, and secure-area readiness.
On the security side, you are ICEYE Portugal's named Local Security Officer and formal interface to GNS/ANS. You will own the facility security programme (physical access control, secure-room build-out, visitor management, alarms, CCTV, key management) and drive NATO Restricted readiness audits. You will coordinate national security clearance applications for cleared personnel, maintain the cleared-personnel register, and run security on-boarding/off-boarding for all employees and visitors. You will partner with ICEYE's global security leadership to implement cyber baseline controls locally, lead incident-response coordination for classified leaks and suspicious activity, vet and audit local vendors against security standards, and serve as the security interface to the Portuguese Air Force, GNS/ANS, NATO, and the Portuguese Space Agency.
Required: hands-on IT support or systems administration experience, ideally combined with Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Security Manager exposure in defence, aerospace, or critical infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting across Windows, macOS, and Linux; solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching); experience with office IT equipment, Google Workspace or M365, Okta, and Jira Service Management. Working knowledge of physical security standards and information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2). Hands-on experience running or supporting national clearance processes (GNS/ANS) required.
