Wag! Group Co. is seeking an IT & Security Manager to lead hands-on IT operations and security engineering across the organization. The role combines day-to-day IT administration with proactive security strategy, infrastructure management, and cross-functional collaboration with development and support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer corporate IT infrastructure, systems, and SaaS stack (MDM, Okta, Google Workspace)
- Automate IT helpdesk operations using AI agents and workflows
- Provide hands-on operational IT support, user provisioning, and system maintenance
- Design and implement security policies, threat models, and risk assessments for corporate and cloud infrastructure
- Select and deploy vulnerability management tools across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and applications
- Detect, investigate, and mitigate security incidents; facilitate internal audits and penetration tests
- Harden applications, infrastructure, and networks against exploitation
- Administer firewall configurations and support infrastructure teams with secure design patterns
- Partner with leadership on long-term security posture, detection, and response strategy
- Provide company-wide training on security best practices

Requirements:
- Breadth of experience across multiple security domains
- Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities with hands-on root cause analysis experience
- Strong background in hands-on system administration and operational IT, including Google Workspace, Okta, and MDM solutions
- Demonstrated expertise in core infrastructure management, provisioning, and cloud/network systems operations
- Knowledge of threat landscape, common attacks, and mitigation strategies
- Firm grasp of: network protocols and operations, cloud provider best practices, operating system internals and hardening, API/web/mobile application vulnerabilities and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in-person 5 days per week in downtown Miami office
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to develop tools and scripts in interpreted programming languages (e.g., Python)
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities
- Ability to deploy and configure infrastructure with CI tooling
- Proficiency using AI agents to write code and ship automations
