Re:Build Manufacturing is revitalizing America's manufacturing base by operating an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform for aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics sectors. This IT Security Analyst role is instrumental in defending the organization against sophisticated cyber threats, with a primary focus on malware/virus mitigation and software vulnerability incident response.
Key responsibilities include monitoring security alerts and logs across the Microsoft Defender suite (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, Vulnerability Management), Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel to detect and respond to security incidents. You will manage and optimize Microsoft Defender security policies and configurations across the enterprise, utilize Purview capabilities for data loss prevention and compliance enforcement, and develop custom detection rules to address emerging threats.
As a primary incident responder, you'll perform forensic analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery for malware, viruses, and endpoint compromises. You'll conduct root cause analysis, document findings, and implement corrective measures. Additional responsibilities include threat intelligence analysis, proactive threat hunting using Microsoft Defender XDR, developing defense strategies against ransomware and other malware types, and providing regular security posture reports.
You'll collaborate with IT and other departments to implement security best practices, assist in cybersecurity awareness training, and stay current with evolving attack techniques and adversary tactics.
Required qualifications: bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience); 3-5 years managing and utilizing Microsoft Defender, Purview, and Sentinel; relevant certifications (Microsoft SC-100/200/300/400, CompTIA Security+/CySA+/SecurityX, or GIAC GSEC/GCIH). Preferred: aerospace and defense experience with CMMC compliance and Microsoft 365 GCC High. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR compliance requirements. Up to 10% domestic travel required.
