GovWorx is seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to build and improve security systems for AI-powered public safety platforms. The role sits at the intersection of IT Security, SaaS Application Security, and Security Compliance, supporting 9-1-1 and emergency communications centers across the country.
You will own the evaluation and continuous improvement of production security systems, developing automated pipelines for security scans and penetration testing. Key responsibilities include managing and conducting regular penetration testing, selecting and implementing antivirus scanning and SIEM tooling, assessing software systems for security posture and compliance, and managing training programs for role-specific security needs. You'll also assess and improve Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, manage compliance operations (SOC2 Type 2, NIST, CJIS), and respond to security questionnaires and RFPs.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of security analysis/operations experience, with demonstrated expertise managing compliance processes (SOC2, NIST, ISO), evaluating third-party systems and services, and assessing security concerns unique to AI systems. You should have hands-on experience using AI in personal and/or business workflows. Nice-to-have qualifications include basic software development experience, criminal justice background, or public sector/government/public safety experience.
This is a full-time role requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass FBI fingerprint and background checks in multiple states. The position offers the opportunity to directly impact first responders and emergency communications professionals while working on cutting-edge LLM technologies and shaping responsible AI practices.
