In this role, you will lead Float's small but mighty IT team, owning the systems and support that every team member relies on to do their best work. You will manage, coach, and grow a team of IT engineers, set the standard for how the team delivers support, and own the IT roadmap for the next 12–18 months, including driving automation goals.
Key responsibilities include managing employee onboarding and offboarding, endpoint support, access and authorization, productivity platforms, and the day-to-day health of office technology. You will be accountable for hiring, onboarding, and developing your team members while balancing multiple priorities across support, security, and infrastructure. You'll partner closely with Security (endpoint, physical, and SaaS security), Corporate Engineering (AI and AI enablement), People Operations (onboarding/offboarding), and Office Management (events and office work).
You will develop effective support processes for endpoints and SaaS platforms, ensure excellent onsite and remote IT support across various locations, oversee Apple MacBook device administration and compliance, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues quickly, own audio/video systems (Zoom Rooms, Google Meets, Zoom), and represent IT to leadership, translating team work into business impact.
You bring 7+ years of IT support, systems administration, or similar experience, including team management or leadership. You have a track record of coaching and developing engineers with clear expectations and regular feedback. You have strong experience with Google Workspace, Okta, and access management tools, solid troubleshooting skills for software, hardware, and network issues, and experience with development and development languages to support automation efforts.
