Salary: USD 113,000 - 173,000 / annual
Tanium is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Systems Administration to join the IT Engineering team. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in one of four office locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; or Emeryville, CA.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, implementing, and managing hybrid systems infrastructure to ensure availability, security, and maintenance of company systems. You will act as a member of the IT Infrastructure Engineering team with a focus on systems management and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform infrastructure deployment, management, planning, scaling, scheduling, and related operational tasks
- Drive and enhance automation wherever possible to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency
- Work with key business groups to architect and implement technology solutions
- Ensure all technology is documented, deployed, and configured securely and in alignment with best practices
- Leverage AI and automation tools extensively for daily tasks, integrations, and operation and management of IT and business services
- Follow change management processes for system configuration, installations, and maintenance
- Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve operational challenges and streamline workflows
- Participate in infrastructure, business execution, and security-related projects
- Solve incidents and administrative tasks related to infrastructure services and escalations from end-user support
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Demonstrate adaptability, self-motivation, and solution-oriented problem-solving
Requirements:
- 4+ years as a Systems Administrator, Operations Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role with relevant enterprise experience
- Strong background with Linux, Windows, and VM technologies
