Sierra is building an AI-powered customer experience platform trusted by industry leaders like SoftBank, Uber, Rivian, and Sutter Health. As the first IT Infrastructure Engineer on the internal IT team, you'll scale foundational systems during a critical growth phase, reporting to the IT Lead and collaborating with the GRC Lead and Engineering teams. Key responsibilities include leading the migration from Google Workspace Identity to Okta, designing a scalable identity foundation with real-time device posture signals and conditional-access policies. You'll develop automated user-lifecycle pipelines (provisioning through deprovisioning) to reduce manual work, deploy enterprise and endpoint-based data loss prevention solutions, and automate asset tagging and policy enforcement. You'll build systems integrations between internal tools and the compliance automation platform to support audits and reporting. Using Bash, Python, and low-code platforms, you'll drive IT automation and efficiency. You'll manage SaaS lifecycle processes with a focus on compliance and security, implement identity-analytics capabilities to automate orphaned-account discovery and anomalous-login detection, and build scalable internal tools that integrate with business systems via APIs. You'll operate effectively in an enterprise-scale environment, balancing speed with reliability and security. The role requires 4–8 years in IT infrastructure, software engineering, or related roles. You should be comfortable with Google Workspace, Okta, Vanta, AWS, and HRIS systems; understand SAML, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, and REST APIs; and be proficient in Python, Bash, JavaScript, and Terraform (React experience is a plus). You'll operate independently with minimal oversight, bringing systems-thinking to a fast-paced startup. Experience with IT compliance (access audits, data residency, control implementation), security tools (CASB, EDR, MDM), and building IT documentation is valued.
