Thunes is seeking a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to join its Internal IT team in a fast-growth fintech environment. This role operates at the intersection of startup velocity and banking-grade security, moving beyond reactive ticket resolution to proactively architect identity systems, automate lifecycle workflows, and enforce compliance at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Identity & Access Management: Administer Google Workspace as the primary identity provider (IdP) for authentication and access control across the organization.
Workflow & Provisioning Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated lifecycle management (Joiner/Mover/Leaver) using Okta Workflows and SCIM provisioning to downstream applications including Slack, Jira, Zoom, and 1Password.
MDM Policy & Configuration: Author, deploy, and audit system configuration profiles and compliance policies in JumpCloud across macOS and Windows fleets, ensuring device security and user compliance.
Service Desk & Escalations: Provide tier-2/3 support via Jira Service Management and Slack, analyzing ticket patterns to identify root causes and automate recurring issues.
Security & Compliance: Maintain Zero Trust access controls, enforce SOC2/ISO 27001 compliance standards, and manage endpoint protection via Sophos with minimal user friction.
Global Standardization: Collaborate with the team to author knowledge base documentation in Confluence, standardizing IT operations across international offices.
Proactive Infrastructure Management: Monitor IT infrastructure, audit permissions, and recommend tooling or API-first improvements to eliminate manual workload.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Internal IT experience in a fast-paced, scale-up, or regulated fintech environment. Proven expertise building workflows with Okta Workflows and managing SCIM/LCM app integrations. Deep knowledge of Google Workspace administration as a primary IdP, including domain security, OU management, and admin workflows. Direct experience creating, testing, and deploying compliance baselines, FileVault/BitLocker policies, and configuration profiles in JumpCloud or equivalent cloud MDM solutions. Strong proficiency supporting and securing both macOS and Windows workstations. Demonstrated ability to automate manual administrative tasks using native workflow hooks or API integrations. Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture, least-privilege principles, and security baselines with a focus on seamless user experience. Fluent English at professional working level with excellent documentation skills.
